New Zealand was the location chosen for Middle-earth because it looked like a world that had not yet been finished β and that sense of geological youth and dramatic beauty pervades every landscape. The North Island is volcanic, geothermal, and deeply connected to MΔori culture. The South Island is glacial, alpine, and one of the world's most spectacular concentrations of natural scenery.
Our tours cover both islands, moving at a pace that allows time for the unexpected β a walk through the glowworm caves, a morning on a working sheep station, a helicopter flight over the Tasman Glacier. Maximum 14 guests means we can take the roads and trails that larger groups cannot.
